Robe of Feathers Review
About Robe of Feathers
The German company was founded by Nele Hinrichsen, who discovered a passion for fashion after she worked for a few years at Vivian Westwood Couture, the famous brand from the hugely successful British designer. She returned to her native country of Germany and currently resides in Hamburg with her two daughters, who are her creative inspiration in designing her clothes. The clothes are suitable from 6 months to 6 years, and use simple yet stunning designs for maximum comfort and style. The name of the brand is inspired by a Japanese legend about a fisherman who finds a robe of feathers, which later turns out to belong to a beautiful woman, who is actually a bird. The name reflects a sense of whimsy, fun and fantasy, which you can see in their designs.
Robe of Feathers Collection
The clothes featured on Robe of Feathers follow a very simply but sweet design, with puffy skirts and wide bottomed shorts and bottoms – so there is a focus on practicality as well as looking good. Many of the clothes are a single colour, but cute little polka dots are also a theme. You can also find nightwear and playsuits in the All-In-One section, and the accessories tab contains everything you’ll need to complete an outfit – with hats, necklaces, bags and even adorable little felt crowns for when you want your little girl to feel like a real princess! If your little one fancies herself as the next Jamie Oliver, there are plenty of kitchen princess sets, with aprons and chef crowns! All the clothes are catered towards younger girls, with most items available from 18 months up to 6 years.
They also branch out into bed linen, and whilst at present there aren’t many designs available, what they do have on offer is perfect for any little girl. The patterns are mainly checked, and reminiscent of gingham school dresses. These and many of the other products stocked are made from 100% cotton.
