Severina Kids Review
About Severina Kids
Created and managed by the Argentinian-Italian designer Alejandra Salvatore, Severina Kids tries to draw together designs from all kinds of different cultural practices across the world. Salvatore is particularly well travelled, and she uses what she has seen on her journeys around the globe as inspiration for these highly distinctive children’s toys and presents. She comes from a long line of creative craftswomen, and is familiar with the art of knitting, sewing and embroidering. The products are made largely from recycled vintage fabrics of the utmost value – with Eco Felt, 100% Peruvian organic cotton and Argentinian Merino Wool – so you know that you’re paying for quality as well as style. Each individual product is completely unique, so you won’t find anything else like it in the entire world! The company is named after Santa Severina, an Italian village where Salvatore’s grandparents were born.
Severina Kids Collection
There’s a great range of largely animal themed toys on offer at Severina Kids– all in a range of charming and cute colours. Cats are particularly popular, with a range of white and black cards with a different coloured collar each. The cat dolls are very simple but effective, and they have a certain charm, as do the range of multi-coloured fish and mice. There are crabs, octopi and other sea creatures to go with the fish, allowing your child to create their own soft toy aquarium! There are, however, more intricate designs, including animals, monkeys and penguins, as well as human faced dolls and even a couple of woollen hats. The range of distinctive designs and animals on offer means that you’re sure to find a gift here that a certain special little one will love and cherish forever.
Recently the brand have also launched a small collection of woollen accessories such as bonnets and bags, ideal for the colder weather. Be sure to keep an eye out for more of these cropping up in different colours and themes in the coming weeks and months.
